ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Youth Empowerment
Jewel Mack attended NC A&T State University, where she earned her BS in Nursing. She is currently seeking her certification as a Health Coach. Jewel began mentoring young girls her senior year in high school. Her love for teenage girls came from a background of being bullied herself and being called stupid and ugly, from various people. One of her mottos is “Stick and stones may break my bones, but words will definitely hurt.” Throughout college, she volunteered with Big Brothers Big sisters and the YWCA, mentoring pregnant teens. She now resides in the Charlotte, NC area, where she has been leading a high school girl’s group through her local church for the last 6 years. This girl’s group has been the pivot for her starting Renewed Mentoring for Girls, Inc.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
Renewed Mentoring for Girls, Inc is a non-profit, 501©(3) organization, founded in 2019, in Charlotte, NC. It focuses on the development and well-being of teenage girls, ages 13-18. Our mission is to empower and enrich young girls mentally, physically and emotionally. To help them strive for excellence, boldly and confidently while enhancing their self-worth. Our goal is to ensure each girl feels loved and enriched, while providing them the skills and knowledge to take on life’s challenges. Renewed Mentoring is one on one mentoring, with quarterly workshops, that focuses on self-worth, financial literacy and some of your basic skills needed to grow into women. Renewed stands for Reaching, Empowering, Noble, Excellent, Worthy, Enough and Determined. We want to reach as many girls as possible, while keeping them empowered, so they are confident in being noble, excellent, worthy and enough, while staying determined to fulfill their dreams and goals.
